to echo my sentiments from the above:
I favor the colored as work of art, a deck to use on the off chance amongst a group of friends or family members.
However, to me, the b/w set seems the most usable for performance or regular us. Perhaps something that came up during the Spanish Inquisition era, as a symbol of disdain for the rulers of the day left at the door front of the local burgher or constable.
